Job summary

The City of Lincoln is seeking a Desktop Support Technician to deliver 1st- and 2nd-level IT support for hardware, software, and enterprise applications. The role requires proactive communication, ticketing documentation, and escalation to maintain SLAs across shifts.

Candidates should have 3+ years in desktop support, familiarity with Windows 10/11, AD, and Office 365, and be willing to work evenings/weekends as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years in desktop support or help desk roles.
• Experience supporting Windows 10/11 environments.
• Familiarity with AD, Group Policy, and Office 365 administration.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1st- and 2nd-level support for hardware, software, and peripherals.
• Document incidents and requests in the IT ticketing system.
• Install, configure, and troubleshoot Windows 10/11 and Office 365.
• Support macOS when needed and manage printers and peripherals.
• Coordinate with vendors for complex AV issues as required.
• Maintain SLAs with timely status updates to users.
