Job summary

The City of Lincoln is seeking a Desktop Support Technician to provide first- and second-level IT support across local and remote environments. You will troubleshoot hardware and software, document incidents, and resolve issues involving Windows 10/11, Office 365, and peripheral devices to ensure SLAs are met across all shifts.

The role requires strong customer service, ability to adapt to a changing tech landscape, and occasional evening/weekend coverage.

Qualifications

Requires a bachelor’s or master’s degree in information technology, computer science, or related field, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Minimum 18 months of hands-on desktop support or IT help desk experience.
Experience supporting Windows 10/11 environments and Microsoft Office 365.

Responsibilities

Provide first- and second-level IT support for hardware, software, and applications via phone, remote access, and on-site.
Log, track, and maintain incident documentation in the IT ticketing system.
Install, configure, and troubleshoot Windows 10/11 and Office 365 environments.
Support macOS users and enterprise applications, including Cisco Jabber.
Coordinate with vendors for complex AV issues and maintain SLAs.
