Job summary

TEKsystems is seeking an IT Support Technician I/II for a long‑term contract based out of Greene, NY. You’ll be the primary contact for end users, delivering deskside and remote support for about 400 users across office and manufacturing environments.

You’ll handle Level 1–2 tickets, troubleshoot hardware, software, OS, and network issues, support Windows and Office 365, perform deployments and imaging, and assist with IT projects.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years IT support, help desk, desktop support, or technical support experience.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Experience supporting Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office/Microsoft 365 applications.
• Basic troubleshooting knowledge of desktop hardware, software, printers, and networking concepts.
• Ability to diagnose issues, follow documented processes, and elevate appropriately when needed.
• Comfortable working in both office and manufacturing environments.

Responsibilities

• Provide Level 1 and Level 2 technical support for end users via ticketing system, phone, and in-person support.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, operating system, and network connectivity issues.
• Support Microsoft Windows environments, Microsoft 365 applications, Outlook, email access, password resets, and user account issues.
• Perform desktop support activities including computer deployments, hardware replacements, imaging, and workstation setup.
• Support printers, scanners, mobile devices, and other end-user technology.
• Respond to and resolve tickets from a shared support queue in a timely manner.
• Escalate complex technical issues to advanced support teams when necessary.
• Provide technical support to both office personnel and manufacturing floor employees.
• Assist with IT projects such as system upgrades, deployments, and technology implementations.
