Job summary

TEKsystems client seeks a Level 1/2 IT Support Technician to join its Enterprise IT team, supporting a corporate/manufacturing facility in Syracuse, NY. This long-term contract offers full-time hours and PTO.

You will be the primary contact for end-user support, providing deskside and remote assistance for approximately 400 users across office and manufacturing environments. Growth opportunities exist as production expands.

Qualifications

1-3 years of IT support, help desk, desktop support, or technical support experience.
Strong customer service and communication skills.
Experience supporting Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office/Microsoft 365 applications.
Ability to diagnose issues, follow documented processes, and escalate when needed.

Responsibilities

Provide Level 1 and Level 2 technical support for end users via ticketing system, phone, and in-person.
Troubleshoot hardware, software, operating system, and network connectivity issues.
Support Microsoft Windows environments, Microsoft 365 applications, Outlook, email access, password resets, and user account issues.
Perform desktop support activities including deployments, hardware replacements, imaging, and workstation setup.
Support printers, scanners, mobile devices, and other end-user technology.
Respond to and resolve tickets from a shared support queue in a timely manner.
Escalate complex technical issues to advanced support teams when necessary.
Provide technical support to both office personnel and manufacturing floor employees.
Assist with IT projects such as system upgrades, deployments, and technology implementations.
