Job summary

The City of Lincoln is seeking a Desktop Support Technician to deliver first- and second-level IT support across local and remote environments. Responsibilities include hardware/software troubleshooting, incident documentation, and maintaining SLAs.

You will work with Windows 10/11, Office 365, AD, and mobile device management, providing timely updates and coordinating with vendors for complex issues. The role requires strong communication and the ability to handle multiple priorities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or related field or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 18 months of hands-on desktop support or IT help desk experience.
• Experience supporting Windows 10/11 environments and Office 365.

Responsibilities

• Provide first- and second-level IT support for hardware, software, and applications.
• Document incidents and service requests in the IT ticketing system and maintain SLAs.
• Install/configure Windows 10/11 and Office 365; support macOS basics.
• Coordinate with vendors for complex AV issues and manage mobile devices in the enterprise.
