Job summary

TEKsystems is seeking a Contract Desktop Support Technician in Springfield, MA to provide onsite and remote end-user computing support. You will assist with deployments, migrations, imaging, and ongoing workstation maintenance for Windows 10/11 and Microsoft 365 services.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in desktop support, strong customer service, and experience with Active Directory/Azure AD and ITSM platforms. This contract role offers a competitive hourly rate and benefits.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required.
2+ years of desktop or deskside support or related IT experience.
Experience with Windows 10/11 operating systems.
Experience with Microsoft 365 applications and services.
Familiarity with Active Directory and Azure AD Entra ID; MFA.
Experience with ITSM platforms (ServiceNow or similar).
Strong troubleshooting and customer service skills.
Excellent communication abilities and ability to manage multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

Provide onsite, remote, and desk-side support for hardware, software, and network issues.
Troubleshoot desktops, laptops, printers, and mobile devices; support peripherals and telephony equipment.
Deploy, image, and support Windows 10/11 machines; perform hardware refreshes and migrations.
Manage Microsoft 365 apps including Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, Word, and Excel.
Assist with login issues, MFA, and AD account support; respond to access requests.
Document incidents, deployments, and asset records; escalate complex issues as needed.
Support desk phones, conference room tech, and video endpoints; participate in deployments and migrations.
