Job summary

STI in Newark, NJ is seeking a qualified Desktop Engineer for our 2nd shift on a 24/7 team. You will troubleshoot computer issues and support customers in person, by phone, email, and remote access tools.

Responsibilities include hardware/software installation, AD and Exchange management, imaging, data migrations, asset records, and collaboration with IT and SLA teams. Experience with Windows AD/Office 365, networking basics, and printer troubleshooting required.

Qualifications

• College degree or 4-6 years' experience required.
• Experience troubleshooting hardware and software on desktop/laptop computers.
• Experience with Windows Active Directory and Office 365.

Responsibilities

• Install hardware and software on workstations.
• Set up and maintain network and telecommunications systems.
• Troubleshoot LAN, server, wi-fi and connectivity issues.
• Utilize ticketing system as needed.
• Manage Windows Active Directory and Exchange.
• Re-image computers, perform data migrations and restorations.
• Collaborate with IT and SLA teams on projects.
• Maintain accurate asset management records.
• Coordinate with vendors on repair/maintenance of IT equipment.
