Job summary

TEKsystems in Columbus, OH is seeking a customer-focused Deskside Support Technician to join our IT support team. You will provide Level I & II desktop help for Windows 10/11 and Mac OS, troubleshoot hardware and software, and help deploy new systems in a fast-paced environment.

You will manage Active Directory tasks, support Office 365, and handle tickets in ServiceNow while working onsite and collaborating with colleagues across locations.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years IT support experience (desktop/hardware/software).
• Proficiency in Windows 10/11, Office 365, Active Directory, ServiceNow, imaging/deployment.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills for client-facing interactions.
• High school diploma (technical certifications preferred).

Responsibilities

• Provide Level I & II desktop support for Windows 10/11 and Mac OS.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, VPN, and peripheral issues.
• Manage imaging and deployment of new systems.
• Perform Active Directory administration (password resets, GPO).
• Support Microsoft Office 365, including Exchange/Outlook troubleshooting.
• Maintain and upgrade systems to keep standard business apps running.
• Resolve virus/malware issues and perform system clean-ups.
• Manage service tickets using ServiceNow.
• Assist with hardware distribution to nationwide locations.
• Maintain hardware/software inventory and perform warranty service tasks.
• Collaborate with team members and provide occasional technical guidance.
