Job summary

TEKsystems is seeking a Desktop Tech II to provide Level 2 hardware and software support for 1500+ desktops, laptops, printers, and peripherals across multiple sites. The role emphasizes adherence to SLAs, documenting procedures, and contributing to a robust knowledge base.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years in tech support, strong Windows and Mac experience, AD and Office 365 proficiency, and good communication skills.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of tech support experience including Windows and Mac
• Experience with workstation setup, refreshes, conference room support, networking
• Experience in managing and supporting Microsoft Active Directory, Office 365, corporate networks and mobile devices
• An Associate degree, certificate, or boot camp in Computer Science or equivalent training/experience

Responsibilities

• Provides Tier 2 support for end-user computing devices across multiple offices
• Responds to incidents and requests within a ticketing system and meets SLAs
• Deploys/troubleshoots laptops, desktops, printers and mobile devices per security policy
• Performs Move, Add, Change, installation and decommission tasks
• Configures Windows and Mac operating systems and Office applications
• Configures remote access and VPN connectivity for users
• Creates customer training materials and KB articles
• Adheres to ITIL change/incident/problem management processes
