Cognizant is seeking a Deskside Support professional in Phoenix, AZ to provide Level 1 IT support for Windows 11 desktops and mobile devices, plus A/V and conference room assistance. You’ll configure devices, support VDI access, and assist with onboarding and asset tracking.

The role covers network trouble-shooting basics, knowledge base updates, and collaboration with vendors. Strong Microsoft 365 / AD familiarity is preferred, with certifications a plus.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in desktop support or IT help desk operations.
• Windows 11 administration and troubleshooting experience.
• Networking basics: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, Wi-Fi, VPN connectivity.

Responsabilités

• Provide Level 1 technical support for Windows 11 desktops, laptops, peripherals, printers, and mobile devices.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, login, and connectivity issues.
• Respond to and manage support requests through the corporate ticketing system.
• Deliver timely updates and resolution status to end users.
• Support conference room technologies including displays, cameras, microphones, speaker systems, and collaboration platforms.
• Troubleshoot meeting room technology issues before and during meetings.
• Coordinate with vendors or remote support teams to resolve recurring A/V issues.
• Maintain conference room equipment functionality and documentation.
• Configure, deploy, and maintain laptops and workstations for new hires and existing employees.
• Assist with virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) setup, access, and troubleshooting.
• Support user account setup, onboarding activities, and equipment assignments.
• Maintain accurate inventory of IT assets and equipment.
• Perform basic troubleshooting of local network, Wi-Fi, and internet connectivity issues.
• Assist centralized IT or vendors with local infrastructure troubleshooting when needed.
• Identify and escalation network, security, or systems issues beyond Level 1 support scope.
• Create and maintain IT support documentation, knowledge base articles, and operational procedures.
• Document troubleshooting steps and resolutions for future reference.
• Learn new technologies and support processes as business needs evolve.
• Assist with IT projects, office moves, equipment refreshes, and technology rollouts.
