Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a Deskside Support Engineer to provide on-site AV and videoconference support in South San Francisco, CA. The role covers setup, testing, operation, and teardown of audiovisual and VTC systems, plus in-room PC and presentation support and end-user training.

Responsibility includes troubleshooting, escalation when needed, preventive maintenance, asset management, and monthly reporting on room usage and equipment status.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting audiovisual and videoconference systems.
• Ability to set up in-room PCs, laptops, wireless access, and presentation tools.
• Provide end user training on presentation technology.
• Perform preventive maintenance and asset management for AV/VTC equipment.

Responsibilities

• Set up, test, operate, and tear down AV and videoconference equipment.
• Provide in-room PC and presentation support; coordinate with client IT for advanced issues.
• Handle videoconference setup, training, troubleshooting, and escalation follow-up.
• Educate end users on presentation technology; maintain records of issues and resolutions.
• Perform preventive maintenance and asset management for AV/VTC equipment.
• Provide monthly room usage reports and maintain ticketing logs.
