Job summary

Stellantis in Auburn Hills seeks a Design Systems Engineer (DSE) reporting to the Chief Engineer. The DSE coordinates system interfaces across transmission and driveline components, drives DFMEA/DRBFM reviews, and synchronizes with PRC, ACE, and DVC teams to ensure robust DVP actions and build readiness for prototype programs.

Responsibilities include leading system integration, coordinating with COEs, managing BOM complexity, and supporting cost roll-ups for minor/new programs while driving

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field required.
• Minimum of 7 years of engineering experience in product development design and release with at least 2 years propulsion systems experience.
• Demonstrated experience leading collaborative and global teams.
• Understanding of typical automotive manufacturing and quality processes.
• Advanced English language skills (90% read/write).
• Proficient with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project).
• Excellent work ethic, strong organization and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Transmission and driveline hardware system responsible (integration and system balancing).
• Interfacing with COEs and coordinating across disciplines.
• Lead build readiness tasks (fixtures, dyno support) and manage prototype hardware orders.
• Review and approve change notices; ensure checklists, LL, and E-BPs updated.
• Manage DFMEA/DRBFM reviews for cohesive design controls.
