Job summary

Stellantis NV is seeking an Assistant Chief Engineer to oversee transmission and driveline programs in Auburn, Alabama. You will lead cross-functional teams, manage technical interfaces across departments, and drive cost, timing, and quality targets for vehicle families.

The role requires strong leadership, a background in mechanical engineering, and significant experience in automotive product development. A master’s degree and DFMEA/DVP&R familiarity are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 7+ years of engineering experience in product development, design and release.
• Demonstrated experience leading collaborative and global teams.
• Understanding of automotive manufacturing and quality processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering teams to deliver prototype and production transmission solutions.
• Oversee all aspects of the transmission project for a vehicle family.
• Coordinate technical cost reductions and benchmarking activities.
• Represent the organization in high level meetings as needed.
