Job summary

Stellantis NV in Auburn Hills, MI seeks a Design Systems Engineer reporting to the Chief Engineer to manage interfaces within transmission and driveline systems, coordinating with COEs, manufacturing, suppliers, and the DVC to ensure robust DVP actions and transparent reviews.

The role requires 7+ years in engineering with propulsion experience, strong leadership of global teams, and deep knowledge of automotive manufacturing processes. Advanced English and MS Office proficiency are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related degree field.
• A minimum of 7 years of engineering experience in product development design and release with a minimum of 2 years of propulsion systems experience.
• Demonstrated experience leading collaborative and global teams.
• Understanding of typical automotive manufacturing and quality processes.
• Advanced English language skills 90% (Read and Write).
• Functional knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project).
• Excellent work ethic, organization skills, and communication skills.
• Goes “above and beyond” always.

Responsibilities

• Manage transmission and driveline system interfaces and Review DFMEA/DRBFM with the team.
• Lead build readiness tasks including prototype orders and test fixtures.
• Coordinate BOM and experimental builds with ACE.
• Drive Technical Cost Reductions (TCRs) and Value Optimization with cross-functional teams.
• Represent CE in lessons learned documentation and ensure updates to E-BPs.
