Job summary

Stellantis Auburns Chief Engineering team seeks a Design Systems Engineer to manage interfaces and interactions across transmission and driveline components. You will oversee system integration, DFMEA/DRBFM, and prototype build readiness, coordinating with CE, PRC, DVC, and VO teams to deliver robust designs for current and future programs.

The role requires leading global teams, strong engineering judgment, and deep automotive manufacturing knowledge.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
• 7+ years of engineering experience in product development design and release with propulsion systems experience (2+ years).
• Demonstrated experience leading collaborative and global teams.
• Understanding of automotive manufacturing and quality processes.
• Advanced English language skills (reading/writing).
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project).
• Strong work ethic, organization, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead system and interface management for transmission and driveline hardware integration.
• Coordinate DFMEA/DRBFM reviews to ensure design transparency and robust DVP actions.
• Manage BOM complexity charts and assembly parts for driveline systems.
• Lead Build Readiness tasks, fixtures, dyno support, and prototype orders.
• Collaborate with CE, PRC, DVC, and VO teams on cost reductions and value optimization.
• Review and implement change notices with aligned checklists and E-BPs.
