Job summary

Floor & Decor is seeking a Design Supervisor to lead and develop the design team while driving sales through design services. You will deliver exceptional customer service and oversee design projects from inquiry to installation.

You will hire and mentor a dynamic team, manage appointments, advise on tile, wood, stone and accessories, and collaborate with store leadership to achieve sales and service goals.

Qualifications

• Design education or equivalent experience to qualify for leadership.
• 3-5 years of leadership or management experience.
• Knowledge of design center operations and customer service standards.
• Proficient in basic mathematical skills and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Internal candidates should have 12 months in Sr. designer or ADM roles.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain relationships with residential and professional customers.
• Hire and develop a dynamic design team with evaluations.
• Greet customers and support in-store design needs.
• Schedule design appointments and develop clientele through referrals.
• Advise on tile, wood, stone, and accessories for projects.
• Design and sell complete, functional, and aesthetically appealing solutions.
• Manage multiple projects with accurate, timely communication.
• Collaborate with store leadership to manage projects from inquiry to installation.
• Support company initiatives by coaching store employees.
• Maintain Design Center and uphold visual standards.
• Engage in current design trends and utilize design software.
