Job summary

Floor and Decor is seeking a Design Supervisor to lead the design team, train staff, and drive design-driven sales. The role emphasizes exceptional customer service and leveraging design services to enhance the customer experience.

Ideal candidates possess a design degree or equivalent experience, leadership capability, and strong communication skills to support both residential and professional customers in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• Design education (BA or AA in Interior Design) or 6 years interior design experience.
• 3–5 years of leadership or management experience.
• Knowledge of hard surface flooring preferred.
• Proficient in basic mathematical skills.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
• Basic computer knowledge, including Microsoft Office suite.
• Internal candidates must have 12 months of Sr. designer/ADM experience.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain relationships with residential and professional customers.
• Hire and develop a dynamic and motivated design team with evaluations.
• Greet store customers and support design walk-ins.
• Schedule design appointments and develop clientele through referrals and leads.
• Provide tile, wood, stone and accessories advice for residential and commercial projects.
• Design and sell complete, functional and aesthetically appealing solutions.
• Manage multiple customer projects with clear communication and timely follow-up.
• Collaborate with store leadership to manage projects from inquiry through installation.
