Job summary

Cushman & Wakefield is seeking a Project Design Manager to lead design teams on assigned accounts. The role supports workplace strategy, standards, and design delivery from concept through construction in a hybrid or remote setting.

You will mentor designers, manage timelines and budgets, and ensure code-compliant, functional, and aesthetically strong environments aligned with client needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from a CIDA or NAAB accredited institution in Architecture or Interior Design.
• 4+ years of professional design experience.
• 4+ years of Revit experience in a professional setting.
• Proficiency in architectural drawings, concepts & design.
• Strong time management, communication, and collaborative skills; able to manage multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of design professionals from sketch through construction.
• Develop and manage project timelines, budgets, standards, and resources.
• Support Designers in quality review of design deliverables.
• Communicate new processes and standards within documentation.
• Review preliminary space plans to meet safety, code, and aesthetic requirements.
• Oversee furniture, fixtures, equipment specifications and layouts.
• Provide ongoing training on space planning, program management, and FF&E services.
• Develop client workplace standards and identify improvement opportunities.
• Apply knowledge of space planning, materials, finishes, lighting, acoustics and ergonomics.
• Direct design phases: concept, schematic, design development, construction documents.
• Oversee third-party relationships with architects, engineers, etc.
• Share FF&E vendor knowledge and resources with the team.
