Job summary

Cushman & Wakefield is hiring a Project Design Manager to lead a team of design professionals in delivering high-quality interior design projects. The role emphasizes mentoring, scheduling, budgeting, and standards compliance across the design lifecycle.

The position supports hybrid or remote work, with responsibilities spanning space planning, FF&E, and client standards development. Candidates should have extensive Revit experience and strong collaboration skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture or Interior Design from an accredited program.
• 4+ years of professional design experience.
• 4+ years of Revit experience in a professional setting.
• Proficiency in architectural drawings, concepts and design.
• Strong time management, communication and collaboration; ability to manage multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of design professionals from initial sketch through construction start.
• Develop and manage project timelines, budgets, standards and resource allocation.
• Support Project Designers in quality review of design deliverables.
• Ensure new processes and standards are communicated and implemented.
• Review preliminary space plans to meet safety, functionality and code requirements.
• Review furniture, fixtures, equipment and millwork specifications to meet client needs.
• Provide ongoing training on space planning, design, program management and FF&E services.
• Develop client workplace standards and pursue continuous improvements to design outcomes.
• Contribute knowledge of interior materials, finishes, lighting, acoustics and ergonomics.
• Work independently or with minimal oversight through design and documentation phases.
• Oversee third-party relationships with architects, engineers, etc.
• Provide rapid access to FF&E vendors and resources for the team.
