Job summary

Cushman & Wakefield is seeking a Project Design Manager to lead a design team in a hybrid or remote setting. You will guide design from concept through construction, manage timelines and budgets, and ensure quality deliverables aligned with client goals.

You will mentor designers, coordinate with architects/engineers, and develop workplace standards while applying space planning and FF&E expertise to complex projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from a CIDA/NAAB accredited institution in Architecture or Interior Design.
• 4 years of professional design experience.
• 4 years of Revit experience in a professional setting.
• Proficiency in architectural drawings, concepts & design.
• Strong time management, communication and collaboration skills; ability to manage multiple projects.
• Ability to lead a team and delegate work.
• Builds strong internal/external partner relationships.
• Ability to document client goals, space needs, budgets and outcomes.
• Data collection from client/stakeholders via programming, surveys or benchmarking.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of design professionals from sketch through construction.
• Develop and manage project timelines, budgets and resources.
• Support project designers in reviewing design deliverables.
• Communicate new processes and design standards across the team.
• Review space plans to ensure safety, function and code compliance.
• Review furniture/equipment specifications and layouts to meet client needs.
• Provide ongoing training on space planning and FF&E services.
• Develop client workplace standards and pursue improvements.
• Apply knowledge of space planning, finishes, materials and acoustics to designs.
• Contribute to conceptual/design development and construction documentation.
• Oversee third-party relationships with architects/engineers.
• Share FF&E vendor knowledge with the team.
