Job summary

Cushman & Wakefield is seeking a Project Design Manager to lead design teams, develop project timelines and budgets, and ensure high-quality design deliverables for assigned accounts. The role supports workplace strategy and standards, coordinating with Project Designers and external partners.

The position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or Interior Design and 4 years of design experience, including Revit proficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from a CIDA or NAAB accredited institution in Architecture or Interior Design.
• 4 years of professional design experience.
• 4 years of Revit experience in a professional setting.
• Proficiency in architectural drawings, concepts & design.
• Excellent time management, communication, collaboration, and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines, in addition to the ability to work independently.
• Must be able to lead a team effort, and delegate work to all team members to enable them to work independently.
• Able to build strong relationships with internal and external partners to deliver effective services.
• Understand, document, and confirm client goals, objectives, space needs and budgets.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of design professionals from sketch through construction.
• Develop and manage project timelines, budgets, standards, and resource allocation.
• Support Project Designers in quality review of design deliverables.
• Ensure new processes and design standards are communicated and implemented.
• Review preliminary space plans and concepts for safety, function, aesthetics and codes.
• Review furniture, fixtures, equipment, and millwork selections and specs.
• Provide ongoing training on space planning, design, program management and FF&E.
• Develop client workplace standards and drive continuous improvements.
• Contribute knowledge on space planning, materials, finishes, lighting, acoustics, wayfinding, ergonomics, and human behavior.
• Work independently on conceptual/design development and construction documentation.
• Oversee third-party relationships with architects, engineers, etc.
• Provide rapid FF&E vendor knowledge to the team.
