Job summary

JPMorgan Chase & Co. is seeking a Design Operations Manager, Senior Associate, to plan and manage day-to-day workflows across Digital Customer Experience. You will lead delivery for complex programs and scale efficient practices with design, product, tech, and finance partners in a fast-paced, distributed environment.

You will enhance operating rhythms, governance, and adoption of AI/automation to improve quality and speed of delivery, while solving the right problems with scalable processes.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in project/program management or design operations with digital UX teams.
• Strong understanding of product development lifecycle at scale; fluent in Agile and Waterfall delivery methodologies.
• Proficient with delivery/ops tooling (e.g., Atlassian/Jira,Monday.com) and using it to drive workflow transparency and reporting.
• Excellent communication skills: synthesize delivery status into clear narratives and dashboards with appropriate rigor, discretion, implications, and recommended actions.
• Demonstrated ability to build plans, prioritize work, and drive execution across multiple concurrent workstreams.
• Strong problem-solving skills: able to structure ambiguous situations, identify root causes, and translate insights into pragmatic solutions and recommendations.
• Highly organized and proactive; able to operate independently while coordinating cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, distributed environment.
• Proven cross-functional collaborator with the ability to influence outcomes without direct authority; strong active listening, stakeholder management, and sound judgment.
• Adaptable and comfortable navigating change, ambiguity, and evolving priorities; passionate about customer‑centric design and continuous professional growth.
• Systems‑minded and improvement‑oriented: identifies patterns and root causes, and implements sustainable process/operating improvements.
• Familiarity with design and AI‑assisted tools (e.g., Figma, GitHub Copilot) and the aptitude to evaluate and integrate emerging tools.

Responsibilities

• Oversight and management of a digital product portfolio, including intake, framing, sequencing, prioritization, resourcing, and team capacity.
• Drive clarity and execution readiness by aligning on problem definition, scope, ownership, outcomes, and definition of ready.
• Lead cross-team dependency and issue management; facilitate sessions, remove blockers, and provide clear options.
• Maintain portfolio visibility and enable timely tradeoffs and decisions with design and cross-functional leaders.
• Translate demand into capacity and resourcing plans with Design, Product, and LoB partners; ensure clear handoffs.
• Guide end-to-end execution with Design Leads, Product Owners, Tech Leads, and Scrum Masters.
• Consult with teams on planning design work to set requirements and rationale.
• Track delivery across projects and serve as single point of contact for status and risks.
• Leverage AI and traditional tooling to improve rhythms, ceremonies, and predictability.
• Uphold company standards and drive continuous process improvements in craft and output.
• Develop reusable SOPs, templates, and playbooks and support team health.
