Job summary

HermanMiller is seeking a General Manager to lead a store team, drive the client experience, and achieve sales targets. You will coach staff, supervise demonstrations, quotes, and order generation while aligning with company standards and visuals.

The role requires building strong relationships and ensuring operational excellence in a high-traffic retail setting. You will report to the Regional Manager, with responsibilities including hiring, performance management, and budget oversight.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 to 5 years of retail management experience.
• Excellent verbal, written, organizational and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to inspire team to conduct effective demonstrations in a high traffic environment.
• Adherence to high personal performance standards and business ethics.
• Ability to build relationships with direct reports, peers, and clients.
• Financial literacy and ability to manage budgetary responsibilities.
• Experience with POS systems and MS Office; familiarity with 3-D rendering programs.

Responsibilities

• Hire, develop, lead, and motivate the team through coaching and training.
• Foster the Herman Miller Client Experience.
• Engage in performance management on a regular basis.
• Ensure the Studio presents at its best using visual standards.
• Manage store operations to maximize profit and control expenses.
• Resolve employee relations issues with HR.
• Deliver Sales Plan.
