Job summary

Herman Miller in Boston seeks a General Manager to lead the store team, coach demonstrations, and drive sales performance. You will train staff, inspire a high-performing culture, and partner with HR and the Regional Manager to meet revenue goals.

As a leader in design, you will manage hiring, coaching, and performance while ensuring visual standards and efficient operations across shipments, expenses, and staffing.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years of retail management experience.
• Strong leadership and coaching skills to motivate a sales team.
• Proven ability to manage budgets and drive profitability.
• Excellent communication and customer relationship skills.
• Experience with POS systems and basic software tools.

Responsibilities

• Hire, develop, lead, and motivate the team through performance coaching.
• Foster the client experience and ensure best-in-class service.
• Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly performance and adjust plans.
• Ensure store presentation aligns with directives and standards.
• Manage operations to maximize profit and control expenses.
• Address employee relations in partnership with HR and deliver sales plans.
