Job summary

La-Z-Boy Incorporated in Baton Rouge, LA is seeking a motivated sales associate to drive store performance through exceptional customer service and product knowledge. You will promote furniture, accessories and the Design program, guiding customers from discovery to purchase while adhering to the La-Z-Boy selling process.

Training phase offers $15–$20 per hour for 2–6 weeks. Average earnings after training range from $40,000 to $80,000+ annually, with uncapped commissions and base pay.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Previous selling experience and ability to close a sale strongly preferred.
• Excellent communication, customer service, and organizational skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills to communicate, build rapport, and influence.
• Persuasion and negotiation skills.
• Ability to manage time and conflicting priorities.
• Team player with ability to work with others.
• Ability to work evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Initiative to meet goals and stay motivated.
• Attention to detail and knowledge of Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Drives Sales and contributes to store sales goals.
• Promote the Design program and assist the Designer.
• Execute the selling process and provide a positive customer experience.
• Develop sales skills including needs discovery, presentations, and closing.
• Support design-related functions and maintain product knowledge.
• Open to scheduling deliveries and ensuring accurate records.
