Job summary

La-Z-Boy Incorporated in Baton Rouge is hiring a Sales Associate to drive furniture and design sales, deliver exceptional customer service, and promote the Design program. You will build relationships, present room designs, and close sales, while learning product knowledge and store processes.

The role offers a training period with base pay and potential for uncapped commissions, plus a path to earnings in the tens of thousands as you grow with the team.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent (minimum)
• Previous selling experience and ability to close a sale preferred
• Excellent communication, customer service skills, and organizational skills
• Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate, build rapport, and positively influence
• Demonstrated persuasion and negotiation skills
• Ability to work schedule dictated by business needs
• Evenings, weekends and holidays as required
• Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field preferred

Responsibilities

• Drives Sales by selling furniture, accessories and services
• Promote the Design program and assist the Designer to achieve sales goals
• Execute the La-Z-Boy selling process to provide a positive customer experience
• Develop and utilize sales skills including needs discovery, objections handling and closing
• Schedule professional home consultations for room designs
• Provide highest level of customer service to all customers
• Maintain knowledge of product features and benefits
• Maintain store promotions and visuals
• Open and close the store and manage daily tasks
