Job summary

ENTRUST Solutions Group in Allentown, PA, is seeking a Design Engineer I to join the Electric Distribution Design team. You will support planning, design and execution of electric distribution projects for utility clients throughout the Northeast, collaborating with project managers, senior engineers, and clients to deliver quality designs.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited engineering degree required; Electrical Engineering preferred.
• Internship, co-op, or professional experience in electric utilities or related infrastructure.
• Strong technical aptitude and willingness to learn electric utility design principles.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a team.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Prepare engineering designs, drawings, calculations, and documentation for electric distribution systems.
• Develop construction work packages and supporting design documentation.
• Use design software and GIS-based tools to create and maintain utility designs.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, designers, and utility clients to support delivery.
• Assist with field data collection and verification activities as needed.
• Support project schedules, budgets, and quality requirements.
• Participate in client meetings and learn utility standards and engineering practices.
• Learn and apply utility design standards, company procedures, and industry best practices.
• Support multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced consulting environment.
