Job summary
ENTRUST Solutions Group is seeking a Design Engineer II to support electric utility distribution projects by designing reliable overhead and underground distribution systems and assisting with major utility upgrades. The role requires collaboration with designers and drafters to develop designs and calculations that meet project specifications.
Responsibilities include leading simple design efforts, utilizing CAD tools, and communicating scope and cost considerations to project teams.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering from ABET-accredited university.
- 1–2 years of electrical distribution design experience.
- Experience with GIS, pole modeling tools, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and Smartsheet.
- Client-facing experience / construction support.
Responsibilities
- Develop engineering designs meeting project specs, codes, and standards.
- Collaborate with Designers and Drafters to complete design packages.
- Support simple to moderately complex designs and larger projects.
- Lead discipline-specific design efforts on simple projects.
- Use CAD and engineering analysis software for deliverables.
- Communicate scope, cost, schedule, and quality challenges to leads and PMs.
- Interact with clients and ensure professional communication.
- Perform self-reviews and participate in QC reviews.
- Support fielding activities and related duties.
