Job summary

ENTRUST Solutions Group seeks a Design Engineer II to support electric utility distribution projects by designing overhead and underground systems and assisting with upgrades. Experience with GIS, pole modeling, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and Smartsheet is preferred.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited engineering degree completed.
• 1–2 years of electrical distribution design experience.
• Familiarity with GIS, pole modeling tools (O-Calc, PoleForeman, Katapult), AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and Smartsheet.
• Experience with client-facing roles / construction support.

Responsibilities

• Develop engineering designs that meet project specifications, codes and standards.
• Collaborate with Designers and Drafters to complete design packages and drawings.
• Prepare simple to moderately complex designs and contribute to larger projects.
• Lead discipline-specific design efforts on simple projects and assist with analyses on complex work.
• Use CAD and engineering software to support deliverables.
• Communicate scope, cost, schedule and quality challenges to leads/managers.
• Interact with clients on a limited basis with professional communication.
• Self-review and participate in peer/quality control reviews for accuracy.
• Support fielding activities and related duties.
