Job summary

Patterson-UTI in Midland, TX is seeking a Floorhand/Motorhand to support drilling operations on a rotating schedule. You will stand for long hours, climb stairs and ladders, maintain mud systems, and follow Mud Engineer and Driller instructions to keep the drilling fluid system running safely.

This outdoor role requires strong English communication, the ability to work 12.5-hour shifts, and willingness to travel and operate in remote locations on 14-on/14-off rotations.

Qualifications

• Must read, write and speak English clearly.
• Able to lift 50 pounds and climb stairs/ladders.
• Willing to travel and work rotating shifts.
• Pre-employment testing and drug/alcohol checks may apply.

Responsibilities

• Stand or walk long hours in steel-toed boots.
• Maintain mud systems, inspect equipment, and monitor safety.
• Follow Mud Engineer and Driller instructions for drilling operations.
• Communicate clearly with crew using hand signals and verbal directions.
• Assist with rig up/down and housekeeping duties.
