Job summary

Patterson-UTI Drilling Company, LLC is seeking an entry-level Floorhand to assist in daily rig operations and maintenance. You will support the Motorhand, Derrickhand and Driller, perform housekeeping duties on the rig floor, and help with pipe handling during drilling activities.

The role requires readiness to work outdoors in all weather, safety-first mindset, and willingness to travel on a 14 days on/14 days off schedule with 12.5-hour shifts, days or nights, including weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write and speak English, and follow written and verbal instructions.
• High school diploma or GED preferred; relevant safety certifications are a plus.
• Experience on drilling rigs or related heavy industry is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Lift and place heavy slips safely with another person.
• General upkeep of the rig and drilling floor and cleaning duties.
• Assist in rig moves and equipment setup; support crew with maintenance.
• Monitor equipment for safety issues and report any concerns.
• Follow safety procedures and wear PPE at all times.
• Travel to remote locations on a 14 days on/14 days off schedule.
• Complete required training and pre-employment screenings.
