Job summary

Forefront Dermatology is hiring a Patient Service Representative to act as the primary contact for patients upon arrival. You will register patients, handle co-pays and balances, and schedule appointments while ensuring accurate EHR data and compliance with HIPAA.

The role requires strong customer service, organization, and communication skills in a fast-paced dermatology setting, with full-time hours Monday through Friday.

Qualifications

• Up to one year of medical office or front desk experience preferred.
• Dermatology or plastics experience preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and comfortable with EHR systems.
• Strong organizational, communication, and customer service skills.
• Ability to handle confidential information per HIPAA.

Responsibilities

• Open/close clinic daily, handle cash and reconcile totals.
• Greet patients, verify demographics and insurance data in EHR.
• Collect co-pays and balances, process retail transactions, issue receipts.
• Manage waiting room and communicate delays to patients.
• Schedule appointments and manage recalls per procedures.
• Assist in patient outreach and referrals; support billing handoffs.
• Scan/store documents in EHR; prepare next-day appointments.
• Sell cosmetic products and track inventory per SOP.
