Job summary

Forefront Dermatology is seeking a Patient Service Representative to be the first contact for patients at our dermatology clinics. You will handle patient registration, co-pays, and scheduling while ensuring accurate financial records in the electronic health record.

This is a full-time, on-site role with a 36-hour weekly schedule (Mon–Thu, 7:30am–4:30pm). Benefits include health/dental/vision insurance, PTO, 401(k) with profit sharing, life and disability insurance, and more.

Qualifications

• Up to one year of medical office or front desk experience preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Strong organizational, communication, and customer service skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with clinicians, staff, patients, and the public while maintaining professionalism.
• Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and HIPAA compliance.

Responsibilities

• Open and close the clinic daily, manage cash totals and reconciliation.
• Greet and check in patients and update demographics in the EHR.
• Collect co-pays, balances, and process retail transactions with receipts.
• Manage waiting room and communicate delays to patients.
• Schedule appointments and coordinate referrals per policy.
• Perform outreach to fill schedules and recalls as needed.
• Handle escalations from billing and central call center.
• Scan and manage documents in the EHR and review referrals.
