Job summary

Golden State Dermatology, a physician-led dermatology group, is seeking a Medical Receptionist in Berkeley. You will warmly welcome patients, assist with check-in/check-out, verify insurance, handle calls, and maintain patient records.

You will manage appointment schedules, audit future bookings, confirm attendance, and collect information before visits. You will educate patients on skincare products and assist with product purchases, while multitasking to support clinic needs.

Qualifications

• Customer service skills required; healthcare setting helpful.
• Knowledge of insurance coverage and eligibility is beneficial.
• Experience with EMR software (EClinicalWorks, EMA or similar) is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients warmly and assist with check-in/check-out.
• Verify patients' insurance coverage and eligibility.
• Answer phone inquiries and maintain patient records.
• Manage appointment schedules, audit future appointments, and confirm attendance.
• Collect necessary information before visits (insurance, intake questions).
• Provide product education and assist with skincare product purchases.
• Multitask to ensure timely completion of all duties; practice manager may assign extra tasks.
