Job summary

Floor & Decor is seeking a dedicated trainer for Product Sales Specialists in Florida to elevate customer service and product knowledge across the store. You will lead onboarding and certification of staff, ensuring accurate product information and a high level of customer engagement.

As the trainer, you will reinforce the company’s basic P’s of retail, supervise merchandising and pricing, and drive a culture of safety and efficiency on the showroom floor.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED, 1 year of customer service/sales experience or equivalent
• Excellent communication skills (verbal & written)
• Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

• Act and work in a manner consistent with company’s core values
• Demonstrate safe lifting practices SOPs
• Drive and teach the basic P’s of retail (People, Position, Product, Presentation, Price, Promotion, Purchasing)
• Provide direction to product sales specialists for high-quality customer service
• Complete all product specialist certification courses
• Understand merchandise and installation well
• Ensure merchandising, pricing and department organization
• Communicate SOP changes to associates
• Complete forklift proficiency testing and certification
• Communicate inventory needs to management
• Direct and assist merchandise processing to showroom floor
• Validate product placement and pricing within the department
• Greet customers courteously
• Assist customers with product questions and selections
• Process customers at checkout using POS
• Process refunds and exchanges per guidelines
• Present ‘how-to’ classes to customers
• Follow cash/check/card procedures
• Answer phones per guidelines
• Stock and tag displays
• Create price tags and signs
