Job summary

IES is seeking a Department Manager to supervise and direct the work activities of the department. Lead staff to meet staffing, materials, financial, and customer delivery goals while promoting safety and quality standards.

The ideal candidate has seven years of supervisory experience and five years in telecommunications or related fields, with proficiency in Microsoft Office and MS Project. Travel within territory may be required, and a High School diploma is required with a Bachelor’s

Qualifications

• Must have at least a High School diploma or GED; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Minimum seven (7) years supervisory or managerial experience.
• Minimum five (5) years of experience in telecommunications or related field.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and MS Project).

Responsibilities

• Hire, train, manage, supervise and evaluate department staff.
• Provide guidance to meet department goals and objectives.
• Manage workload distribution across staff.
• Plan and monitor project profitability to meet company goals.
• Oversee scopes of work including structured cable, AV, security, life safety, estimating or BIM.
• Participate in bid processes and ensure quality and safety for customer work.
• Act as liaison with customers and implement process improvements.
• Other duties as assigned.
