Job summary

IES is a national provider of industrial products and infrastructure services. The Department Manager will supervise and direct the work activities of their team, ensuring staffing, materials, financial management, and customer delivery goals are met.

Responsibilities include recruiting and mentoring staff, managing workloads, and guiding project profitability while coordinating with customers and ensuring quality and safety across projects.

Qualifications

• Must have seven (7) years supervisory or managerial experience.
• Five (5) years of experience in telecommunications or related field.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and MS Project).
• Able to travel within branch/regional territory as needed.
• Able to recruit, hire, train and supervise staff according to policy.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, hire, train, manage, supervise and discharge department staff.
• Provide guidance and mentoring to meet department goals.
• Manage workload distribution of department staff.
• Plan for project profitability to achieve company goals.
• Oversee scopes of work including structured cable, AV, security, BIM.
• Participate in and/or facilitate the bid process.
• Ensure quality and safety on customer work.
• Liaise with customer representatives and drive account improvements.
