Job summary

Rural King is seeking a Department Lead to drive efficient department operations in our Ohio store. You will oversee inventory, pricing, planograms, cleanliness, and customer service, while coordinating with teams to ensure a high-quality shopping experience.

You will participate in training programs, work varied hours including nights and weekends, and help staff across departments as needed. Prior retail leadership experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of retail experience and knowledge of the department.
• Excellent verbal and written communication to convey ideas clearly.
• Demonstrate adaptability to changing priorities and business needs.
• Strong problem-solving skills to identify issues and act quickly.
• Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and maintain accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to the indoor merchandising guide to maintain displays and standards.
• Monitor and maintain accurate inventory levels with regular stock counts.
• Oversee the recovery process to keep the department neat and visually appealing.
• Coordinate price changes and update pricing labels and signage.
• Manage planogram sets and product arrangements per company guidelines.
• Maintain department cleanliness and safety protocols for customers and staff.
• Provide proactive customer service, help locate products, and address inquiries.
• Assist with front-end tasks such as transactions or loadouts as needed.
