Job summary

Rural King, a Farm and Home Store, is seeking a Department Lead in Ohio to oversee daily department operations, inventory management, pricing changes, and store displays. You will ensure adherence to merchandising guidelines, maintain product availability, and deliver exceptional customer service across shifts.

Responsibilities include scanning outs, planogram compliance, and supporting front-end tasks while maintaining safety and cleanliness.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of retail experience with knowledge of specific department.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to the indoor merchandising guide to maintain consistent department and signing standards and appealing displays that are consistent with company expectations.
• Monitor and maintain accurate inventory levels by conducting regular stock counts, scanning outs, reconciling discrepancies, and replenishing department inventory from stockroom or top stock.
• Oversee the recovery process to keep the department neat, organized, and visually appealing.
• Coordinate and execute price changes accurately and efficiently, updating pricing labels and signage as required.
• Manage implementations of playbook features and planogram sets, ensuring products are arranged per guidelines to maximize sales and customer satisfaction.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety within the department and provide a safe workspace for employees.
• Provide friendly, proactive customer service and assist customers with inquiries and locating products.
• Support front-end operations by processing transactions or loadouts as needed.
• Operate general office equipment and retail machinery as required.
• Participate in cross-training and learning initiatives to stay current on developments.
