Job description

• Provide routine and specialized clerical and administrative services supporting a non-clinical/support unit
• Execute clerical duties and prioritize information and requests in a timely manner
• Gain confidence and cooperation from staff, physicians, and healthcare providers through competent performance and effective communication
• Adhere to regulations, codes, policies, and procedures to ensure privacy and safety
• Orient new staff to the department/unit when assigned
• Collaborate with peers and staff to achieve departmental and corporate objectives

Requirements
  • High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED)
  • 1 year of recent relevant experience
  • Written and verbal communication skills
  • Time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to prioritize assignments and meet deadlines
  • Basic/intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel and Outlook), EPIC, and related information systems
  • Ability to interpret data and instructions in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to accomplish multiple tasks in an environment with interruptions
  • Ability to identify, evaluate, and resolve standard problems using established options
  • Ability to ensure patient protected health information (PHI) privacy
  • Administrative skills and sound judgment
  • Ability to work at a fast pace with high volumes and varied work
  • Compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, codes, policies, and procedures
