Apex Dental is seeking a Dental Patient Coordinator to be the friendly first point of contact for patients, guiding them from appointment scheduling through checkout. You will support clinical staff, manage patient flow, and ensure a welcoming, efficient experience in a fast-paced dental practice.

Ideal candidates bring strong front desk experience, familiarity with EMR/EHR systems (OpenDental or EagleSoft), and a solid understanding of HIPAA and dental billing practices.

Qualifications

• Proficient in EMR/EHR systems and privacy rules (HIPAA).
• Experience with dental codes CPT and ICD-9/10 and medical billing processes.
• Strong customer service and front desk capabilities in a medical/dental setting.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and provide professional front desk service.
• Schedule appointments using EHR systems and coordinate with clinical staff.
• Verify insurance coverage and handle HIPAA-compliant inquiries.
• Manage patient intake forms and update EHR records accurately.
• Assist with medical billing, CPT/ICD coding, and claims review to support reimbursement.
• Maintain organized patient records and ensure confidentiality.
• Handle phone communications regarding appointments, billing, and follow-ups with courtesy.
