Job summary

Great Expressions Dental Centers is seeking a Patient Coordinator to be the first point of contact for patients visiting or calling the dental office. You will greet patients, schedule appointments, manage records, and handle general administrative tasks to ensure a smooth patient experience.

Your role supports the dental team by coordinating the appointment calendar, verifying insurance, collecting co-pays, and maintaining a welcoming reception area.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of receptionist or customer service experience in healthcare.
• High school diploma or equivalent; additional healthcare administration training is a plus.
• Healthcare administration training or related certification is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and create a warm, welcoming reception experience.
• Schedule appointments considering staff availability and patient preferences.
• Verify and update patient information and maintain accurate records.
• Maintain patient records in the dental practice management system.
• Explain pre-appointment forms and paperwork to patients clearly.
• Coordinate with dental staff to manage the appointment calendar and patient flow.
• Collect co-pays/deductibles and assist with insurance verification and basic billing inquiries.
• Ensure confidentiality of patient records in compliance with privacy regulations.
• Answer patient questions about services, policies, and scheduling, via phone, email, or in person.
