Job summary

United Health Centers seeks a Dental Supervisor to oversee support staff across multiple sites and manage day-to-day operations. The role emphasizes efficient delivery of dental services while upholding patient satisfaction.

The position requires leadership, scheduling oversight, and staff development, with preference for prior supervisory experience in a dental setting and California licensure. This exempt role reports to the Health Center Manager and supports clinical teams daily.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Valid RDA California License or DA Certificate is required.
• Lifesaving Certification and Driver's License are required.
• 2 years supervisory or management experience in a dental setting preferred.
• Knowledge of state and federal regulations.
• Knowledge of community health center mission and role.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and support for UHC dental operations at assigned health centers.
• Proactively manages provider appointment schedules to ensure templates are correctly applied and appointments scheduled appropriately.
• Provide coaching, training, counseling and staff development.
• Assist with recruitment for dental assistant and dental receptionist positions.
• Perform DA/RDA functions and provide coverage as necessary.
• Coordinate dental staffing to ensure adequate coverage for quality care.
• Attend department, program, and staff meetings and participate in other required activities.
• Maintain confidentiality and HIPAA compliance and professional conduct.
