Job summary

United Health Centers is seeking a Dental Supervisor to oversee dental support staff across sites and manage daily operations, ensuring efficient service delivery and patient satisfaction. This exempt role reports to the Health Center Manager and emphasizes leadership, scheduling accuracy, and staff development.

Responsibilities include supervising dental assistants and receptionists, recruiting, and ensuring DA/RDA coverage.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 2 years of supervisory or management experience in a dental setting preferred.
• Knowledge of dental insurances and billing preferred.
• Knowledge of state and federal regulations.
• Knowledge of community health centers mission and role.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and support for UHC dental operations at assigned health centers.
• Proactively manage provider appointment schedules and ensure correct templates.
• Provide coaching, training, counseling and staff development.
• Assist with recruitment and hiring for dental staff.
• Ensure DA/RDA functions are performed and provide coverage.
• Coordinate dental staffing to ensure adequate coverage for quality care.
• Perform site audits/visits between front and back office.
• Ensure data entry corrections are resolved in a timely manner.
