Job summary

United Health Centers of the San Joaquin Valley is seeking a Dental Supervisor to oversee dental assistants and receptionists, ensuring efficient day-to-day operations across all sites. You will lead scheduling, coaching and staff development, coordinate recruitment, and supervise DA/RDA coverage while maintaining HIPAA compliance and patient satisfaction.

This exempt role reports to the Health Center Manager and requires strong leadership, attention to detail and the ability to balance multiple

Qualifications

• 2 years of supervisory or management experience in a dental setting preferred.
• Possess a valid RDA California License or DA Certificate.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred but not required.
• Strong computer skills; knowledge of computerized dental records systems.
• Familiar with adult learning and general training techniques.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and support for the UHC dental operations at assigned health centers.
• Proactively manages provider appointment schedules to ensure provider templates are correctly applied and ensures provider appointments are scheduled appropriately.
• Provide appropriate coaching, training, counseling and staff development.
• Assist with recruitment and hiring for dental assistant and dental receptionist positions.
• Require that DA/RDA functions be performed and provide coverage as necessary for DA/RDA staff.
• Coordinates dental staffing personnel as needed to ensure adequate coverage to provide quality care.
• Performs and coordinates site audits/visits between front and back office.
• Ensures data entry corrections/completion is resolved in a timely manner.
