Job summary
United Health Centers is seeking a Dental Supervisor to oversee the dental support staff across sites and ensure efficient, patient-centered service delivery. You will manage scheduling, staff coaching, and recruitment while maintaining HIPAA compliance and high professional standards.
You will lead a team of dental assistants and receptionists, coordinate provider schedules, and supervise performance while upholding UHC policies.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Valid RDA California License or DA Certificate
- Completed training program in Dental Assisting from Accredited College
- Possess a valid Lifesaving Certification
- Possess a valid Driver's License
- 2 years of supervisory or management experience in a dental setting
- Knowledge of dental insurances and billing
- Knowledge of state and federal regulations
- Knowledge and understanding of community health centers mission and role
Responsibilities
- Oversee Dental Assistants and Receptionists
- Proactively manage provider appointment schedules and templates
- Coach, train and develop staff
- Assist with recruitment for dental staff
- Ensure DA/RDA functions and coverage as needed
- Coordinate dental staffing for quality care
- Perform site audits and monitor data entry
- Maintain patient flow and service delivery
