Heartland Dental LLC's Dexter Family Dentistry is seeking a Dental Office Assistant to join our team in Dexter, MI. The role supports front desk operations, patient communications, scheduling, and billing processes to ensure smooth patient flow.

You will use Dentrix and coordinate with providers to deliver outstanding patient care, while maintaining HIPAA compliance and PHI safeguards; prior dental office experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in fast-paced, customer-centric environments is preferred.
• Strong communication and organizational skills are required.
• Ability to protect PHI and follow HIPAA training and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and manage front desk duties to create a positive first impression.
• Answer phones, handle mail/email, and communicate with patients and insurers.
• Schedule and confirm appointments for multiple providers.
• Post insurance payments and manage accounts receivable.
• Review treatment plan fees and payment options with patients.
