Heartland Dental-supported Dexter Family Dentistry is seeking a Dental Office Assistant to join our team. You’ll greet patients, manage front desk tasks, schedule appointments, and handle insurance claims in a busy dental office setting.

You’ll work with Dentrix scheduling and billing, collaborating with providers to ensure smooth operations and excellent patient care. This role emphasizes teamwork, communication, and patient-first service.

Qualifications

• Experience in a fast-paced, customer-centric environment.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• HIPAA training awareness and PHI protection responsibilities.
• 1+ years in a dental or medical setting (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome patients to create a great first impression.
• Manage front office duties: phones, mail, email, and patient communications.
• Use Dentrix for scheduling and records of patients.
• Schedule and confirm appointments for multiple providers.
• Process insurance claims and follow up on outstanding items.
• Post insurance and patient payments; manage accounts receivable.
• Review treatment plan fees and payment options with patients.
• Collaborate with providers to implement Heartland Dental systems.
