Job summary

Cosmetic Dentistry Institute, part of Heartland Dental's supported offices, is seeking a Dental Office Assistant to join our team. The role focuses on greeting patients, handling front desk duties, scheduling, and coordinating with providers to ensure smooth daily operations.

You’ll work Mon, Wed, Thur mornings, Tue afternoon and occasional Fridays; experience with Dentrix preferred; strong communication and organization needed; comprehensive benefits and a supportive team culture.

Qualifications

• Experience in a fast-paced, customer-centric environment.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• HIPAA training and PHI protection awareness.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome patients to create a positive first impression.
• Manage front office tasks: phones, mail, emails, and scheduling.
• Use Dentrix to schedule and record patient data.
• Schedule and confirm appointments for multiple providers.
• Process insurance claims and patient payments; follow up on outstanding claims.
• Collaborate with providers to implement office systems.
