Cape Girardeau Dental Care, part of Heartland Dental, is seeking a Business Assistant to support front office operations in a fast-paced Missouri office. You will help greet patients and manage communications, while using Dentrix for scheduling and records.

The role includes processing insurance claims, posting payments, and assisting with treatment plan discussions. Heartland Dental offers training, team-driven culture, and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Experience in fast-paced, customer-centric environments.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Access to minimum PHI with HIPAA training required.
• 1+ years of experience in dental or medical setting.
• 1+ years of experience with insurance billing and accounts receivable.
• Dentrix or other dental software experience.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome patients to create a great first impression.
• Manage front office duties, including phones, mail, and email communications.
• Use Dentrix for scheduling and records.
• Schedule and confirm appointments for multiple providers.
• File patient insurance claims and follow up on outstanding claims.
• Post insurance and patient payments and process accounts receivable.
• Review treatment plan fees and payment options with patients.
• Partner with providers to implement Heartland Dental systems.
